Our long athletic tradition is one that has included winning and more importantly, worked to instill key values in our student athletes. We offer a full complement of teams for our junior and senior students. Wagner athletes have won championships at both the city and provincial level. W.P. Wagner Athletics stands for more than winning at sport. Strength, integrity, and excellence are all covenants for W.P. Wagner coaches, teacher sponsors and athletes.

W.P. Wagner has excellent facilities which enable us to provide a quality, comprehensive high school athletic experience. Our East Gym, with its viewing mezzanine, is a sought-after venue for city championships. Wagner also has an expansive West Gym to provide even more athletic opportunities for students and community groups. Our students, teams and staff also benefit from using our modern and well-equipped Fitness Centre guided by a certified Athletic Therapist. Wagner’s school grounds also include a number of excellent playing fields as well as track and field resources.

The objective of W.P. Wagner Athletics is to foster a healthy appreciation of competitive team and individual sports. We are committed to making this participation a positive opportunity for personal growth athletically, academically, and socially.
