2023/24 School Year

For the 2023 - 2024 school year, W.P. Wagner School is full in planned classes in the regular and STEM programs. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 10 to 12 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

DESIGN YOUR FUTURE WITH US!

Thank you for attending our OPEN HOUSE 2023! If you missed it, please explore our online Program Guide at wpwagneropenhouse.ca

The process of choosing a high school can be a very confusing time. Some students just can’t wait to get to high school while others feel uncertain and even a bit afraid. All of these feelings are totally normal. At W.P. Wagner High School, we look forward to providing you with the support and information necessary to make the best choice for you and ultimately a terrific transition into high school. As the only public high school in Edmonton to be offering STEM, we already have so much to be proud of and we are seeking enthusiastic and committed students who want to continue to play a role in creating a school that is truly exceptional!

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to W.P. Wagner High School,‌

Welcome to the new school year!  I am extremely honored to be the principal of W.P. Wagner School. It is a great privilege to serve the students and families of this school community.

At W. P. Wagner, we are committed to providing our students with a safe and welcoming school environment to learn in each day. Our goal is to ensure students have the opportunity to explore, create and work to their greatest potential. The staff at W. P. Wagner strives to support our students to be confident in their own learning, take risks and try new things and to be positive contributing citizens to our community.

Our assistant principals and administrative assistants are assigned to work with alpha groups.  Students with the last names starting with A - Go will work with Mr. Tran. Students with the last names Gr - Pandher will work with Mr. Hirjee, and students with the last names Pandir - Z will work with Mr. Heidt.

I would like to invite all parents to attend our School Council meetings which are held every second month.  Attending these meetings is a great way to learn more about our school and support all of our students and their education.   As always, the best source of information for all families is to access SchoolZone.  Please contact our school office if you have difficulty accessing your account or if you are new to the Division.

Together, we will work to set high standards for academics and citizenship for our students.
