At W. P. Wagner we believe strongly in preparing our students for life beyond Grade 12.  It is our hope to ease their worries about their transition into the world of work and post-secondary, by providing them the time, resources and guidance to explore potential career paths, in relation to their interests, skills, education, experiences and life goals.

Over the course of three years, students will have the opportunity to consider a number of career and post-secondary options through lunch hour seminars, guest speakers and our Post-Secondary Morning.  Evening sessions on scholarships and apprenticeship are also available.

All grades are provided free access to the on-line tool Career Cruising, in which they develop their resume and compile information about post-secondary institutions into an electronic portfolio that they can access at any time, from anywhere, to support their applications to employers and institutions beyond their high school years.

Classroom sessions are directed by our school counselors, and it is expected each of our graduating students will be awarded 1 credit upon presentation of their E-Portfolio (module CTR2310: Career Directions – Expansion).
